Based on the websites i have been looking at for research, it was time to start putting together some initial designs to send off to the Towner. As project manager I instructed everyone to come up with 2 homepage designs. We would then discuss each others designs in a group meeting and decide which ones to send to the Towner gallery.

| My first design is based on the Taco Bell mobile website in that all the text is centred with selection buttons made very clear. Our client specified that it was necessary to have a link on every page that took the user back to the main towner website. The header with the Towner logo is consistent on each of the designs here. This also relates back to the main website. |

| This one is based on Facebook's mobile app. It displays each page option in a a clear and concise 3x3 grid format. Using this as inspiration i decided to try and replicate this theme. Looking at the pages that our client requested on the website i figured out there would be 8 in total. To ensure that the 3x3 format worked i needed to add in another option....this is where i decided to include the mandatory link to the classic towner website. |

My other option that i decided to include is based on the 'flikr' website which uses a tab format. I chose to have 4 tabs across the top and 4 tabs at the bottom with the classic site link at the bottom of the page. In this instance when the user accesses the page it takes them straight to the 'about us' page where they can then easily navigate their way through the website from there. The downside to this however is that a lot of pages may need to be scrollable, this means that the bottom navigation bars would be hidden until the user has scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page which could be quite annoying, unless there is any way we could code this so that is hovered over the info and stayed at the bottom of the screen.
All of these designs are based on the current Towner Gallery website colours which consist mainly of grey, blue and white. I personally wanted to echo the consistency and relate it back to their mobile website.
